Happy Birthday America!

Warning: Lots of pictures ahead!

The Small Town, Iowa, parade:

Sam the weirdo:

At the Fourth of July Carnival in Ames:

Ryan was convinced that we needed cake and ice cream for America’s birthday, so I obliged with some cupcakes from Hy-Vee. We sang Happy Birthday to America and the boys blew out the candles since, as Ryan said, “America can’t just come down out of the sky and blow them out for us.” Um . . .

Sparkler fun!

We had a fun and happy Fourth of July, and we hope you did too!

  1. oh my, is it normal to be that cute? they rock!

so, can the boys see when they are riding something without their glasses? i always had to take mine off when i was a kid to do roller coasters and carnival rides, etc., and i hated it because i could never see, things were blurry. of course, it added to the thrill of the ride too, but still. just wondering.

ryan’s one smart kid. and he knows how to party!!!!

sam is not a weirdo. he looks like his mom in that picture and well, i don’t think she’s a weirdo. 😉

  2. Loved the pictures!! Thanks for sharing them with me!! I almost feel that I was there with you all. Have a great weekend.

  3. Love Ryan’s eyes in the last picture and that qoute “America can’t just come down out of the sky and blow them out for us.” That is priceless.

Now I want some cupcakes. Thanks Erin. Thanks a lot!
