10 Things I have Learned from my Children

1. However stupid it is, you can most certainly have a huge fight about it.

2. Just because he has his father’s face doesn’t mean he didn’t inherit his mother’s control freak personality.

3. Your heart is always big enough.

4. Their heartbreaks break mine.

5. Those kids’ shows I used to think are cute really aren’t.

6. Bedtime is beautiful.

7. The days are long but the years are short.

8. Laughter really is a pretty good medicine.

9. You can lead a boy to the toilet, but you can’t make him aim.

10. That thing they say, about your heart walking around outside your body, that is true. 100% true.

  2. This is so true,LOL although I don’t know about the aim thing,LOL I have 2 girls thank goodness!! LOL This is something great to do though and I am going to be doing this and my hubby rocks thing too, : )

  3. The dumbest fight my children ever had was on a trip to view Christmas lights and my daughter started screaming in the back seat. I asked her what was wrong and she said while pointing at her brother “make him stop looking out my window”.

  4. Number nine is great! I have two boys and I was going to put something like “Your toilets will NEVER stay clean!” but I ended up leaving it off. It’s a good thing too because yours is funnier!

    I love #6 too. Mine are young enough to take naps, so for me naptime is beautiful!

  5. Their laughter is infectous! I could not stop laughing. I also agree that the years fly by way to quickly. My oldest will soon be 15 (where did the tiem go) 😉

  8. That is so true about the aim!

    Now I have this “Undesirable Duties” box with chores listed; if one of my children gets in trouble her or she has to draw a duty. “Wipe around the bottom of all the potties” is one of the yucky duties!
