Last Day of School

Today was Bubba’s last day of first grade, so I did what any devoted blogger would do and sent him to school with our old camera to see what sorts of things he thought were important about the last day of school. Here are his photos.

Friends.

Bubba’s desk.

And hook.

Getting ready to leave.

His friend’s backpack.

Totally not his reading certificate.

Cute girls posing for a cute boy! πŸ˜‰

Playground balls.

School office.

A picture of his teacher.

A closer-up picture of his teacher. (Way to fail, Bubs).

Baby sister.

The outside of the school.

Another view of the outside of the school.

Another view of the outside of the building.

Oh look, the school building.

And again . . .

And we have a picture of the kid himself!!! In the van. Not at school. Why be in pictures when you can take them, right?

And home again, his new school.

That’s right. Next school year we will be homeschooling the boys. We’re pretty excited and nervous and all that stuff. Change can be awesome but it’s also scary. We have loved our experience at the Christian school and hope that God will lead us back there someday, but for now I firmly believe that God’s plan is to school our sons at home and really work on some of the family stuff we’ve been neglecting.

Congratulations on finishing First Grade, my Bubs!
