    • Michael W. Smith. Does he count as famous? I sure hope so. My dad’s cousin was in a band that opened for him back in the ’90’s and when they came to Omaha we got free tickets and backstage passes. 🙂

  1. Michael W Smith totally counts as a famous person. 🙂 Also, this is tempting. I kinda want to do it…(it’s almost impossible for me to resist the urge to talk about myself, apparently.)

  2. what a list!! cool 🙂 i love the things you have done- i want to know what art you taught yourself AND which bone you broke! please? xoxo

    • I taught myself to digital scrapbook. I think that counts, right? LOL. Also baking/cooking. My mom tried to teach me but I was kind of a beast to her so I didn’t know much when I got married b/c she gave up. But now I can bake and cook almost anything from scratch. Doesn’t mean I always *do*. But I *can*.

And I broke a teensy weensy little bone along the edge of my foot when I was in the fifth grade. Didn’t need a cast but I had to be on crutches for several weeks.

  3. If you had more time I would encourage you to join a bookclub, but with your homeschooling and all…

You have done a lot of great things!

  4. you’ve slept on an overnight train! i want to do that. where did you go?

my personal favorite was #34. visited the birthplace of your ancestors.
in 2007 i had the privileged of going to flores, azores with my grandmother who raised me. it was amazing. this sunday we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of when my grandparents, father, and aunts arrived from the azores.

does gibberish count as a foreign language? i had to learn it in 7th grade after i was invited to an 8th grader’s slumber party and all the 8th graders kept talking about “d the ge nthe geese” (denise in gibberish).

what famous person did you meet?
i’ve met victor newman from the young & the restless, scott bacilla from quantum leap (on a mission trip in l.a. in 1992), and brian duncan (does brian duncan count as famous? he did to me in 1991).

i never want to eat caviar. ick.
