We have just arrived home from our wonderful (albeit blister-causing) getaway to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and in celebration of our trip I am now going to show you all the self-portraits we took while we were there.
It’s like an art exhibition, only blurrier and less interesting.
And so, without any further ado, Together for Good presents . . . Sioux Falls Selfies!!!
This is me in the mirror shortly after our arrival at our hotel.
And a high-quality self-portrait of Art at the hotel . . .
You have already seen this lovely shot of the view from our hotel room.
You have also seen this picture of us with a grizzly bear statue.
Walking on Tuesday night, before we had given up all hope of finding Falls Park.
Art took this picture to share his feelings about my driving. He’s rude. I’m a way less scary driver than he is.
Here we are on Wednesday, having finally and joyfully reached the waterfall. See it behind my head?
Aren’t we cute?
Here we at the top of the observation tower, trying to get a picture of ourselves with the waterfall behind us. You can see that our heads got in the way.
So for this one we posed like this. It clearly helped.
Still failing . . .
Here you can see the falls. But there seems to be a problem with my face. Let’s see if we can fix it . . .
Down closer to the falls . . .
EW!!! Smoochies!!! (This one is for you, Denise!)
Art’s selfie in front of the falls
Hooray for the self-timer! 🙂
Best self portrait ever.
I was proud of myself for climbing down all those steps (thank you, arthritis medicine!).
On Wednesday afternoon we went to Devil’s Gulch, which is pretty neat.
Behind us is a big chasm, although you can’t actually tell.
Here you can kind of see the canyon better.
Pretty cool, huh? So long as you don’t fall in . . . (which we didn’t, which is good, although it might have made an exciting blog post).
In the evening we went back to Falls Park just for a bit. Mostly I climbed around on the rocks while Art took pictures of water, but he did let me be in this one. 🙂
Today we only took two self-portraits, because mostly we were driving home. But we did stop at the USS South Dakota museum. As you can see, there is a big propeller.
And here we are, in our last Sioux Falls Selfie, in front of the anchor of the USS South Dakota. I do hope you have enjoyed your tour. 🙂
