Saturday Morning Poetry, edition 5

Sonnet of My Provider

The deep need of my soul my God has met;
So why then do I fear for little needs?
This faithful God has never failed me yet–
I see His love in all His gracious deeds.
Upon the cross, He gave His precious Son;
The Lamb of God there in my place was slain.
My God did not withhold His Holy One,
So why should He withhold the sun or rain?
Every good thing He will pour out on me;
My every need of life He will provide.
I must look up to Him, and I will see
He brings me forth as gold when I am tried.
Jehovah-Jireh— let His name be praised!
He meets my every need for all my days.
