We can be so clueless, fighting our way to the top, while all the time Jesus is calling us to take up our cross and follow Him lower.
The words are simple enough– lay down your burdens. Take up your cross.
There will always be valleys for us to find our way through. There will always be dark places where the light barely shines.
In January, it can feel like joy is hiding.
I am so guilty of looking at the cross as little more than a decoration that hangs at the front of my church.
What if God wants me to give my living to Him, not just my life?
I want to take the lessons of sacrifice and of staying open to His leading that He has taught me, and I want to go.
