So I have started writing down the boys’ funny quotes and decided to just publish them all in a batch every Monday. So here you have it, the first installment of Small Voices. Enjoy! (and check out the other Make Me Laugh Monday funnies over at absolutely bananas! π
Sam: Mommy, my just tooted.
Me: Oh, no.
Sam: (sniffing around with a look of sheer glee) Mommy, my made the house smell REALLY BAD.
******
Me: Ryan, I’m afraid you’re in really big trouble.
Ryan: Why?
Me: Just because.
Ryan: But I’m being good.
Me: Sometimes you just have to get in trouble even when you’re being good.
Ryan: (in a voice full of extreme patient endurance) Mommy, that’s just not the way the world works.
******
The boys are fascinated because I am *gasp* cleaning the house. I took the curtains down to wash and Ryan asked why.
Me: Because, Ryan, I’m cleaning.
Ryan: But why do you have to put the curtains in the laundry?
Me: (sighing) Because that’s what normal people do.
Ryan: Oh. Are we normal?
******
Sam: My am just going to sit here and annoy the shunshine.
******
Big Sexy: Do you know what time it is?
Ryan: Um . . .
Big Sexy: It’s time to go craaaaaaazy!
Ryan: No, Daddy, we don’t go crazy on Sunday.
Big Sexy: We don’t?
Ryan: No, Daddy, we go to church.
